Privacy policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
ShiftSignal is an independent service that sends UK warehouse shift alerts through Telegram. This policy explains the information we may receive, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Who operates ShiftSignal?
ShiftSignal is operated independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon or any employer mentioned in an alert. For privacy questions or a deletion request, contact the team through the ShiftSignal Telegram bot.
Information we may receive
- Telegram details: information Telegram makes available when you message or interact with the bot, such as your Telegram user ID, display name, username, language, and profile settings.
- Alert preferences: areas, shift preferences, availability, and other settings you choose to provide so alerts can be more relevant.
- Support messages: the contents of messages you send when asking for help or reporting an issue.
- Technical information: limited service and security logs needed to keep the website and bot working, such as timestamps, error details, and request information.
- Optional website analytics: if enabled and you choose to allow it, the website may use a Google tag to measure page visits and Telegram button interactions. Analytics is disabled by default on this site.
How we use information
We use information to deliver and personalise alerts, remember your settings, respond to support requests, protect the service from misuse, troubleshoot problems, understand aggregate website performance, and comply with legal obligations.
Our legal bases
Where UK or European data protection law applies, we generally rely on taking steps to provide the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and your consent for optional analytics. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing this site’s stored analytics preference in your browser.
Who we share information with
We may share the minimum information needed with Telegram, hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics providers only where you have consented, professional advisers, or public authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it is needed to provide the service, support users, maintain security, resolve disputes, or meet legal requirements. Retention depends on the type of information and the reason it was collected. You can ask us to delete information associated with your use of the service.
Your choices and rights
You can stop receiving alerts by using the bot’s available controls or by contacting the team. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Third-party services
Telegram operates its own platform and privacy practices. Links to Telegram or employer application pages take you to third-party services, which have their own terms and privacy notices. Review those notices before sharing information with them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the service after an update means the revised policy applies from that date.
This page is written in plain language for a small independent service and is not legal advice.
